Saratoga National Golf Club is among one of the area’s prestigious public golf courses, hosting its newest fine dining establishment, Prime, and offering a venue for weddings and corporate events. The owners desired to increase their facilities in order to be able to operate as a reception hall and fine dining restaurant simultaneously.
The design concept for the facility was to increase the overall footprint of the facility, giving the owners new banquet space, improve the exterior of the facility to increase exterior usage from both the bar and the banquet space and finally tie the entire facility together without changing the character that has made Saratoga National one of the premier golf courses in the Northeast.
The new design worked within the existing vernacular of the clubhouse, while minimally impacting the exquisite grounds of the course. The result of the addition and renovation was a more intimate fine dining environment, consistent with a steakhouse theme desired by the new restaurateur, a new 4,500 SF banquet hall with large windows to capture the views of its picturesque surroundings, a new covered veranda with bar and grill facilities, new restroom facilities and a state-of-the-art warming kitchen.
