Extensive renovations and timber framed canopy additions were completed on six existing comfort station locations in the Saratoga Spa State Park. The comfort station renovations involved floor slab replacement, roof framing modifications as well as upgrades to interior fixtures and finishes. The new timber framed canopy structures utilize brick-clad concrete piers supporting douglas fir framing timbers all connected with exposed steel connection plates. The roofs of the canopies use standing seam metal roofing over exposed tongue and groove wood plank. The canopy structure additions cover picnic tables under an area of approximately 1,000 square feet.
